A Dodge battery is a rechargeable battery that provides electrical energy to your auto.

It is also known as an SLI battery (abbreviation of starting-lighting-ignition) and its main purpose will be to start the Dodge engine.

Power for the car is provided by the alternator once the engine is operating.

Typically, starting discharges less than three per cent of the battery capacity. SLI batteries are designed to release a high burst of current, measured in amperes, and then be immediately recharged.

They are not designed for deep discharge, along with a total discharge can reduce the lifespan of the battery.
